Seeding Mercy, Inc. has developed for implementation among youth a truly revolutionary program that combines education with leadership skills, community values and FUN!
In the areas of the world where Seeding Mercy, Inc. works, we ask the question: “How do you envision when you grow up with civil war and the devastation of poverty?” In response to such questions, we find that especially such youth bring all that is needed to the work of transforming conflicts into sustainable communities where all are valued. They bring their vast and yet untapped potential. |

The Seeding Mercy, Inc. “ART!PEACE!!” Program has three stages that can be introduced in sections across countries in varying locations. Youth are organized into appropriate age groups and their group may meet multiple times a week for a period of weeks.
The goal of the first stage is to assist every youth in the “ART!PEACE!!” Program to identify the personal greatness they possess to offer their community and the world. Each individual is gifted with interests, skills, talents and personal attributes. By using many and varied modalities, such as reading, creating and performing, each youth is supported in their exploration of their unique abilities to make a difference. |
In the second stage of the “ART!PEACE!!” Program, Art is used as a tool of discovery. Youth explore the parallel processes of Art Making and Peace Making. Vital links are created between the youth’s artistic abilities and their peace building ideologies, such as discovery, discernment and decision making.
The third stage of the “ART!PEACE!!” Program turns the inner focus of youth outward. In becoming visionaries of their community, youth reach out to others to inspire in them a sense of vision for Peace Building.
The tangible results of the Seeding Mercy, Inc. “ART!PEACE!!” Program leave each impacted community with a signature art piece…and with youth who have made a personal commitment to being a Healing Community Artist.
